Rick Phillips has over 25 years of experience in various aspects of workers' compensation. His experience includes president and owner of CompRisk Strategies; a strategic risk management service company, and previous employment at Hickok & Boardman, Inc. where he created and launched its Workers' Compensation Risk Management division. Before that, Rick held the position of Director of Employee Health & Disability Management for The University of Vermont Medical Center where he oversaw workers' compensation, STD/LTD, and Employee Health within the Human Resources department. He also served as regional operations manager for a nation workers' compensation case management firm, and he has been in private practice as a disability management consultant. He is twice a graduate of the University of Vermont; Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree, and with a Master's Degree in Education. He is currently a licensed claim adjuster, licensed Property and Casualty agent, and an Associate in Risk Management. He has also held the Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Certified Disability Management Specialist, Certified Case Manager, and Certified Workers' Compensation Professional designations in the past. Rick specializes in working with medium to large New England employers to mitigate and manage their injury and disability-related exposures.
